Synopsis:
When two bumbling employees at a medical supply warehouse accidentally release a deadly gas into the air, the vapors cause the dead to rise again as zombies.
Review:
A good old-fashioned brain-eating, limb-tearing fun and blood-curling zombiefest, that’s what this movie is!
Referring to George A. Romero’s The Night of the Living Dead (even referencing it in the movie) this breeds a new kind of zombie, one that can run fast and has an insatiable hunger for live brains. They can even speak, although some of them have been in a grave (or a container) for years!
Typical of the eighties (and no, I’m not a fan of that) are the ‘obligatory’ naked boobies by one of the female characters. (They never show any of the male leads in its pure form, do they?)!
I won’t say this is the best or scariest zombie movie but it’s not even trying to be that either, which makes it a fun watch for the fans of the genre. Plus it has such a cult-following by now (I see it appear often in my Twitter feed) that it’ll always be a fan-favourite!
It has some real fun(ny) characters: Freddie and Frank leading them and then there’s ‘Tarman’, the one that started the outbreak in this movie… ‘Brains, I wang brains!’ Just iconic!!!
