Review:
This is one of those movies I love coming back to… it never gets old… (well it does but I don’t mind)
If you ever want to see a chewing gum coming to live and eat people… this is thé movie to watch!
The eighties brought us some of the best horror/sci-fi movies (The Thing, Nightmare on Elmstreet, Aliens, Predator, Child’s Play…) and this is one on the list as well… a remake of the 1958 version with Steve(n) McQueen (haven’t seen that one… yet?)

What I really love about this movie, apart from its kitsch B-Movie level, are the (funny!) gruesome death scenes… there’s Paul in the hospital, Vicky and Scott in the car, Eddie in the sewers, the entire movie theater scene (funny as hell!) and many more! But the best one is George in the diner’s kitchen! Cracking!
It’s all you want from a horror movie!
And yeah, you can see it’s an older movie and you can tell when something’s off or studio or background screens and what not… but it’s fun! It’s great fun and it’s eighties horror!
Now get chewing and watch this movie! (Btw, there may or may not come a reboot of this movie sometime in the future… we’ll see!)
