Ever since Tobe Hooper brought us the chilling story of a family killing strangers by ways of their dimwit, chainsaw wielding son who uses other people’s faces as his own, we never look at a chainsaw the same way anymore. Every generation has gotten their version of the story since the seventies (when the first movie came out)… I loved the many reboots and even the prequel (not the movie Leatherface because that one was a weak one as well) from a decade ago or so… I haven’t seen all sequels yet but I am sure this one will definitely not be among the most original of those…
Worst decision making ever in a horror movie! (Let us all stay huddled up in a bus when a giant with a chainsaw comes on that bus… point those cellphones to the same man! And let us hide in the bathroom of the bus! Yeah well…
Okay, you never watch a TCM-movie for the story, true! It’s for the kills! And though there were a lot of those, and a few even original, the movie didn’t really float my boat…
Not withstanding this, I do hope to see more TCM movies, but better ones, in the future! (There’s a post credit scene, so maybe we will?)
All in all 6/10
