Marvel Cinematic Universe: Eternals review (2021)

So, last weekend while Eunice was playing havoc with people’s houses and threw around roofs like they were little Lego bricks, I finally watched Eternals, with my boyfriend! Us being huge Marvel fans, thought let’s get into this… drinks at the ready, bag of chips between us and Play ▶️

We were ready for the biggest disappointment ever! Worst MCU movie so far!

Storyline: there isn’t a story, tbh! Something with a deity, a Celestial, creating superheroes, Eternals, to protect humans, but without interacting with their conflicts? What? And they had to kill creatures called Deviants? Okay… but why?

Even the music by one of the greatest composers, Ramin Djawadi, was underwhelming!

One of the Eternals is a rip off from Superman (even mentioned in the movie!) and if they really had all these powers, why not help defeat Thanos… he was one of theirs or at least a blood relative! (Wait, how can Eternals, created by a Celestial, have blood relatives??)

Even the ending of the movie left so much open that I was flabbergasted by the amount of non-existing storyline in the entire movie!

The best things in the movie were: the first lgbtqia+ superhero, in a steady relationship! And the post-credit scene with Kit Harrington and the first appearance (albeit just his voice) of Blade!

Can we please not do this again, Marvel? Thank you!!!

5/10 (visuals, lgbtqia character and post/credit scene saved its rating somewhat)
