Expecting nothing less than the best of everything haute cuisine has to offer, a group of ultra-wealthy gastronomes with a demanding palate arrive at the Hawthorn: an exclusive culinary temple run by highly regarded gourmet chef Julian Slowik. And prepared for an exquisite multiple-course meal and the experience of a lifetime, obsessive epicurean Tyler and his unimpressed plus-one Margot enter the private minimalist restaurant. At last, the long wait is over. However, no one knows that the cryptic genius in the kitchen has big plans for tonight. After all, the imperious culinary artist has been stretching the boundaries of taste and fine dining for decades. Now, the host can finally unveil his magnum opus. But is the blasé clientele ready for Julian’s creative madness?

Review:

Welcome to a night of fine wining and dining in this exclusive, island based, restaurant with Chef Slowik as your host! This experience will change your life… you will eat yourself… to death!

Oh boy, I think I’ve seen of my favourite movies, this is an instant classic!

If it doesn’t make you hungry from the food you see, it’ll make you shiver from the way that these people act! Fiennes is sublime! Hoult and Taylor-Joy are perfect (and when those reveals come for both of them, it all makes more sense) and the supporting actors are just spot on! Each and ever single one of them!

I can’t say much about the content of the movie, as this is one (like the menu itself) is something you should experience completely for yourself… but brace yourselves for some delicious food, some chopping, brain shattering, a scream, knife wielding and of course dessert… it’ll leave you hungry for more!

Definitely one of the greatest movies, it has that Scandinavian flair!

The only downside… I couldn’t taste, smell nor feel the food presented in the movie! Maybe for the best!

Now, sit back and enjoy the dishes served… and let yourself be surprised by tonight’s event!
