Review:
This was something different, fun and good different but different nonetheless.
A creature feature pretending to be an alien invasion movie, that’s what this is. And I love it for it. It’s also a comment on how we treat nature and how nature fights back (in some ways literally fighting)!
Jordan Peele’s success is his way of telling stories and having great actors performing a role as of they are their characters. I never once not believed Kaluuya and Palmer had a love for horses or for Hollywood. The same happened in Get Out and Us, actors aren’t acting, they are!
And I have to say that the twist in this movie, I never saw it coming. I honestly thought it was an alien just abducting horses and humans.
The scene with the kids in the stables had me all shook and then there’s the one where the thing in the sky is hanging over the house with Em and Angel inside and OJ outside in his car (saying Nope so many times I was laughing my damn ass off)… damn Jordan, that shit’s scary!
I can’t wait to see what more this man will bring to the table… in my opinion, this is oscar worthy!
Don’t look up and run, people because we just went from top of the food chain to the bottom!!
