Review:

I was late to jump on the train that was ‘That ‘70s Show’ but once I got Netflix I binged the entire show. That was in 2021. So when they announced the sequel ‘That ‘90s Show’ I was actually excited for this to happen, even though I had my reservations as well… Will it reach the same success and will it be as funny with a new cast…

But they made a very wise decision: bringing back Debra Jo Rupp and Kurtwood Smith as Kitty and Red respectively! Those two are just the funniest in tv history!

So then came the new cast and what was expected is that they needed a few episodes to grow on me. They were trying a bit too hard to beat the former cast or at least copy them.

But a few episodes in and a few guest appearances from the old cast gave this show a certain flow and a great 90s vibe, which is the era I was 15-16 years old as well, like the cast, and it brought back so many memories! (I kind of got stuck in the nineties, up till today I still think that was the best decade ever!)

I’m also very glad to see they decided to bring in a gay character in the group and gave him such a sweet, and funny at the same time, coming out in the show!

I think this show has a lot of potential to grow into a major success, like its predecessor!

And some of the guest appearances really spice up the fun in the series: Leo, Fez, Fenton…

1995 never looked so good! 😉
