Together, they embark upon a harrowing cosmic adventure to uncover the mystery of the God Butcher’s vengeance and stop him before it’s too late.

Review:
Well, this is the first time I wasn’t very impressed with a Thor movie… I have a lot of good things to say about it but it had flaws as well… many flaws!
Visually, this was a great movie. Settings were amazing and it looked like a real Thor movie. I suspect, not having read the comics of Thor (yet), that this movie came closest to what the comics look like…
We get a lot of new characters (lots of Gods) and see some return (lacking a few familiar ones as well, as they died in previous movies) like Lady Sif, Darcy Lewis, Erik Selveig and of course Jane Foster… and this movie has one of the best villains ever brought into the MCU, Gorr the God Butcher!
But they don’t use him and his acquired powers enough. The focus on this movie lies too much on the comedy side and the relationship between Thor and Jane aka Mighty Thor. That’s all fine, I love both, but this movie needed more scenes where Gorr did the butchering! It’s not until the third act in the movie that we actually see Gorr do his thing, when fighting Thor, Valkyrie and Mighty Thor!
The movie has some Guardians of the Galaxy kind of vibe at the start and then it strays away from that path as well… so it feels like we are watching three different kinds of movies in one, which is a bit confusing if I’m honest. So yeah, it has flaws.
The music by Giacchino is spot on, so that’s good!
My favourite scenes are the meeting with Zeus and then the climatic battle with Gorr… those will remain in my memory best…
So not a bad movie but I expected more, if I’m honest…
