The Lost Boys

Synopsis:

A mother and her two sons move to a small coast town in California. The town is plagued by bikers and some mysterious deaths. The younger boy makes friends with two other boys who claim to be vampire hunters while the older boy is drawn into the gang of bikers by a beautiful girl. The older boy starts sleeping days and staying out all night while the younger boy starts getting into trouble because of his friends’ obsession.

Review:

To start this review, I want to point out the soundtrack for this movie which is by far epic with such songs as ‘Cry little Sister’ and The Echo and the Bunnymen version of ‘People are Strange’! Check it out!

And can I say that this movie stands the test of time very well? It has become a cult movie by now but that is what appeals to me very much! This is still one of thé best vampire movies ever made, in my opinion (this one and Fright Night)!

The two Coreys are great and really make the movie iconic! Certain onliners (Death by Stereo!) are just to die for and although you know who the head vampire is pretty early in the film, there’s still enough doubt and its reveal is so good!

And did all vamps actually die?

I’ve never seen any of its sequels (should I?) and I have heard there will be a reboot/remake… not sure it will ever tromp this one though…

This is a movie I love to rewatch every few years… Glad I didn’t wait another year 😌🤣

People are strange, when you’re a stranger 💪
