Synopsis:

In the extremely popular video game, Free City, a NPC named Guy learns the true nature of his existence when he meets the girl of his dreams, a human player. This player’s interactions with Guy has massive affects on him, the game, and real world as they play it.

Review:

Ever played a game, open world stuff like GTA or Fortnite… I have, okay different games but there are a lot of NPC’s in such a game (NPC = non playable characters or just computer generated characters in a game that are of no use or have no true purpose)

This movie poses the existential question: why are we here? What is our purpose? Why are we alive?

I think that to be a perfect allegory for what we all, at one point in our live, go through. Only, for Guy (Ryan Reynolds), this question suddenly starts events that are funny, adventurous and new (to him)…

This is a weird movie but in a good sense because it is a great movie. It’s always fun to see Ryan in a movie. He’s one of the funniest actors in Hollywood. I can’t wait for Deadpool 3, btw!

This movie has already been slated for a sequel (🙌) so more adventures are on the way for Guy, Buddy and Dude!
