Review: (slight spoilers)
What do you get if you combine Freaky Friday with Friday the 13th and Scream? Right, a f**cked up funny slasher movie… the funny parts were when Vaughn has to pretend to be a girl in a man’s body. The usual jokes (men do have balls, you know!) but it works… even a fall by Vaughn that wasn’t in the script but was kept in the movie is very funny…
But the slasher bit disappoints a little bit… not that I’m a freak (or a freaky) but when I watch a slasher I want dead bodies and original kills throughout the movie. The story was more centred on the ‘switching bodies part’ than on the slasher part…
And there’s even a positive message in the movie that no matter what you look like, you’re always loved by someone (and that leads to a surprising kiss, honestly) 🤣
So fun, funny at times… but not enough kills… I did like the nods to other slashers (one of first kills even had a Scream-like nod! Parents discovering the body)
If you know it was made by them that made Happy Death Day 1 & 2, you know what you can get)
