Hello everyone,

Thank you for taking the time to check up on this little blog. To start with, I’ll say what this will be mostly about: books! Yes, I wanted to expand my blogging about books, my favourite hobby and pass time!

But before telling more about that, I’ll make a short introduction of who I am: my name’s Steven, I’m 42 and I live in Belgium (in a little town near Ghent)! I’ve been together with my boyfriend since 2003 and apart from reading, I’m a huge fan of everything historic, art and together we love to travel! One more little titbit: I’m a lung transplant, due to Cystic fibrosis. So far, I’ve been doing great since I’ve had my operation in 2006. Why do I mention this? Well, it might explain a lot concerning the reading (and the amount of reading) I get to do!

I’ve been reading books since I was 12 years old, and as I never really got started with young adult novels, I started at this age with Stephen King! Yes, indeed… that young little Steven was fascinated by that big Stephen from a young age! So, I can say I’m a big fan of the man! He introduced me to reading (and the guy that gave me his copy of ‘Night Shift’ at the time!)

From then on I read at a steady pace of approximately 25-30 books per year… but that changed last year. No need to explain why, I guess… but well: Covid, of course. As I mentioned before, I’m a CF patient and a lung transplant, so I needed to be extra, extra careful (still do!) not to get sick… Hence, I stayed at home even more than I already did and my biggest outlets were: books (again) and these past two years, I have read a serious big amount of novels, short stories, indie horror tales and comics (another of my big loves)!
