Another month has flown by and it was another strange feeling I had about my reading… it started and ended the same with a bit of a reading slump and me filling it up with comics and graphic novels and a few young adult novels.

There was also a buddy read that was dedicated to a friend who passed away in August, so we decided to finish the last book he was reading and probably never got to finish.

For our bookclub we were paired with someone else from the club and each had to give a title for a book they should try and read in October. I ended up reading a great novel that had been on my list ever since it came out.

I met with some Belgian (Flemish) thriller authors as well, which was fun. And I discovered Spotify offers a monthly amount of listening hours of audiobooks, if you have a premium account. And I used it to listen to a book, while I read it at the same time. That was enlightening.

I started reading Dracula but as with all classics (or most) I always struggle so this one will be a longterm project unfortunately. (I do love my edition but more on that when I finish and review it)

As for movies this month: it was Halloween month and every year I try to watch some movie series. This month I watched all the Friday the 13th movies and started a Paranormal Activity Movie Marathon. I still need to watch a few of those though, so I’ll continue in November.

Nathalie Teirlinck & Michèle Vanparys – In de Schaduw van een Draak kunnen Ijsjes nooit smelten (prachtig kinderboek mer een onderliggend zwaar thema, maar mooi gebracht!)
