February allowed me to rewatch a few classics and the start of a star Wars-marathon I plan this year (movies and series). This is what I watched this month.
1 Star Wars, Episode II: Attack of the Clones
Padmé is now no longer queen of Naboo but has become a senator who represents her planet and its inhabitants. But thus she has endangered her life. Two Jedi-knights are given the job to protect her: Obi-Wan Kenobi and his apprentice Anakin. While Obi-Wan goes out to look for rumours about a bounty hunter/killer and a clone army, Padmé and Anakin grow closer to one another, breaking a Jedi code. This movie shows the early beginnings of the downfall of the Republic, the turn to Anakin’s dark side and the beginning of the Clone Wars.
This one is not my favourite SW movie but I still enjoy watching it because it is pivotal for the rest of the Skywalker-saga and especially the prequel-trilogy.

2 Star Wars, Episode III: the Revenge of the Sith
In the conclusion of the prequel trilogy of Star Wars we see how fear becomes Anakin’s true downfall and his turn to the dark side. His friendship with the supreme Chancellor is frowned upon by the Jedi order. And they are not wrong! This movie is about the ultimate rise of the Emperor and of Darth Vader and the final battle between a Sith Lord and the Jedi knights!

3 The Bourne Identy
The first movie based on the books by Robert Ludlum where a former CIA-operative fails his mission and ends up being shot and with memory loss. His journey to find the truth about his identity, while trying to survive and protecting Marie, a girl he met along his search whom helped him.

4 ballerina: from the world of John Wick
A spinoff of the John Wick series. Revenge, action and an entire town under siege in this action-packed movie that expands on the world of John Wick!

5 the Bourne supremacy
Jason Bourne and Marie are in hiding but their quiet life will soon be interrupted and Marie is killed. Bourne goes on a search for the killer and those that ruined his life.

6 the Bourne Ultimatum
After his escape in Moscow, Bourne wants to destroy the CIA operation Blackbriar, the immediate follow up of Treadstone, where he was part of. With the help from Pamela Landy and Nicky Parsons he tries to find the truth but not without a cost!

7 The Bourne Legacy
A new chapter where another operative, Aaron Cross, (Jeremy Renner) escapes an attack and with the help of a doctor (Rachel Weisz), who is in danger herself, tries to get rid of the chemicals that allowed him to gain his skills.

8 Jason Bourne
Jason Bourne is drawn out of hiding to uncover even more dark secrets from his past while trying to avoid his most cruel and violent adversary.

9 Predator: Badlands
A new instalment in the Predator series, this time we see the alien on its home planet and a very hostile planet. A lot of nods to Alien and AvP as well.

10 The Greatest Showman
Rewatching this amazing musical. Jackman and Williams as P.T. Barnum and his wife and the first steps into the circus world.

11 M3gan 2.0
The sequel to the A.I. horror movie where a killer doll comes back but this time she is back to protect the ones she was set out to kill before.

12 Until Dawn
An adaptation of a horror videogame (I haven’t played yet). Decent movie with very original kills!

13 Independence Day
“The question whether we are alone in the universe has been answered!” Rewatching one of the greatest sci-fi classics, thirty years old this year! (I remember seeing it in the cinema like it was just yesterday 🫣)

14 Independence Day: Resurgence
Revisiting the second Independence Day movie, still hoping for the conclusion in a third one someday soon, I hope.

15 Julian
The story of Fleur and Julian who want to get married in the 22 countries that allow same-sex marriage (in 2017) ends in a disaster when Julian gets sick. Based on true events.
