Review:

Margot, a young woman in her twenties, was left by her mother on the sidewalk when she was a baby. Through a DNA-website she comes in contact with Samuel, a young man who comes from an amish community and who allows Margot and her friends, Chris who operates the cameras and Dale who’s responsible for the sound of a documentary they want to shoot about Margot and her ancestors, come along to meet her estranged family.

At first the contact is a bit rough and they don’t really fit in but soon they are welcomed in the community although things start to happen in the house and surroundings: strange noises, children out and about during the night, strange lights in the woods and a church building is seen on drone footage but is off limits.

When Margot discovers a room in the attic and discovers that her encounter with Samuel wasn’t just random, things speed up fast and soon a certain demon, Asmodeus, is trying to get to Margot. It’s time to leave the farm but will they be able to?

Well… this is the end of my Paranormal Activity Movie Marathon and it’s most definitely time to end it because this series needs no more sequels. It’s time to end this series now. Next of Kin was already the one too many…

This one doesn’t even have anything to do with all the previous instalments and takes too many from the Rec. / Quarantine movies to be called original. I’m not saying it’s not scary. Watching this in the dark would definitely scare the bejeezes out of me. But it’s an unnecessary addition to an already worn out movie series.

So I’d recommend ending this with this movie and not adding another one just because they can. Time to lay Asmodeus to rest.
