Whoever saw the first Friday the 13th Movie (or the first Scream movie that spoils the plot of Friday the 13th – “Say bye bye to Steve”) knows Jason Voorhees is not the original killer in the series. Pamela, Jasons mother was the one who killed all the campers and all the boys and girls at Camp Crystal Lake. All because…

… this is Pamela’s Tale, this is why she became who she became: a ruthless killer! When she was still young and married to an abusive man, she was docile and did all his wishes until her unborn son Jason starts talking to her in her mind and she kills her husband, dumps his body in a lake and leaves town with her unborn child.

She arrives at a new place, a new home… Crystal Lake, where she not only finds new friends and a job but also a place to live in and finally gives birth to her son.

But her son is born deformed and she keeps him away from other people as much as she can, because Jason has tendencies that are frowned upon and she can’t protect him if he’s out there alone.

And then she’s given the offer to cook for children at Camp Crystal Lake, a Summer Camp where a bunch of children and counselors spend the summer at. She gladly accepts until Jason starts a stir in town. But the Christy’s really want her as their cook and they offer Pamela takes Jason with her, so she can keep an eye on him.

But work is busy and she leaves Jason to the counselors who lose sight of him and… Jason drowns. The story we know from the movies. That’s when Pamela’s brain fries completely and she starts a rampage! Camp Crystal Lake becomes Camp Blood!

All this is told by Pamela herself and this is the fun part of this two issue comic book, if you saw the movie you’ll recognize the ongoing story where Pamela picks up the girl who wants to go to the camp but ultimately ends up killing everyone apart from Alice… Alice who is the only one who can stand up to Mrs Voorhees!
