Review:

This movie was made via Stephen King’s “Dollar Baby” program, where he sold the non-exclusive rights to one of his stories (from the collection Night Shift) to independent filmmakers for $1.

That doesn’t mean that this makes for a good short movie. Because honestly it had bad lighting, the actors mumbled instead of talking clearly and the story wasn’t really clear at first. Oh and bad acting.

A valid try though. The ending saved some of the entire short movie. In 2023 a new adaptation of this short story was made into a movie by Rob Savage, that was way better than this little short movie.

A father goes to a psychiatrist after all his kids died one by one. He is prime suspect number one, especially since no one believes his story. He claims that his children were afraid of The Boogeyman, who hid in the closet. It was that boogeyman that killed all three of them.

The police and his wife don’t believe him. So he turns to the psychiatrist for help.

I can only give some advice: read the story, that’s the best way to get spooked by the boogeyman!
