Synopsis:

After 13 years in prison, the mad scientist from Re-Animator (1985) gets a new chance to experiment with the arrival of a young prison doctor, who secretly hopes to learn to reanimate dead people. Good intentions turn to horror.

Review:

Well, these movies certainly don’t get better with each instalment.

It’s the bad acting combined with the low budget filmmaking, I’m sure.

And yet there’s something about these movies that makes them fun to watch, no matter how bad they actually are.

Not only does Herbert West now finds a way to reanimate dead people, he found a way to give them back a sense of conscience. Although not always a human conscience.

And the lovestory between Howard, the prison doctor, and Laura, a journalist, is only doomed to fail due to West’s experiments.

The thing that bugged me the most was the unnecessary abuse of women in this movie. Even in 2003 this wasn’t a good thing!

Ah well, some of the scenes are fun(ny) but all in all it’s just for the cult-vibe of the movie you should watch this one.
