Synopsis:
Sharon Da Silva believes that she is on the run with her adoptive father because he killed a man in self-defense when she was young. Now on the eve of her 18th birthday, living under the alias of Heather Mason, plagued by horrific nightmares and the disappearance of her father, Sharon discovers he has been protecting her from a religious cult called the Order of Valtiel. The revelation leads her deeper into a demonic world that threatens to trap her forever in a place known as Silent Hill.
Review:
So this is the second time I watched this movie and it’s as if I watched an entirely different movie from the first time. And not for the better.
This movie has some of the worst special effects I have seen in any movie the past fifteen years.
And if I’m honest, the only great thing about this movie are the elements taken from the game such as Red Pyramid Thing, Missionary (who looks like a Cenobite from Hellraiser) and the sisters from Hell!
The acting was bad, the scenes were poorly executed and not even the big names such as Sean Bean, Malcolm MacDowell and Carrie-Anne Moss could save this movie.
My initial rating was 7/10… but I will lower it to a 4!
It did spark something else for me… a wanting to play the games… but they are not available on PS4 unfortunately so that will probably never happen now 😢
