Best one so far in this collection of shorts!
Heidi is on her way to Jimmy Lang who will tell her the story of how his father disappeared after an encounter with algae.
Heidi is writing for newspapers the stories about climate change and the appearance of blue algae in ponds and such.
Jimmy Lang was twelve years old in 1983 when he witnessed a strange thing: algae swallowed his father and then the thing vanished with him.
It’s the story from nightmares and it will haunt him forever.
But was all this true or was it the effect of a hallucinogenic?

When I was reading this short I had moments I thought I was reading a Stephen King story, it even made me think of ‘The Raft’ by King. Especially when Lang tells his tale!

This is definitely my favourite from the four stories I’ve read so far!
