Synopsis:

Special Agent Strahm is dead, and Detective Hoffman has emerged as the unchallenged successor to Jigsaw’s legacy. However, when the FBI draws closer to Hoffman, he is forced to set a game into motion, and Jigsaw’s grand scheme is finally understood.

Review:

Strahm is killed by the new Jigsaw Killer, Hoffman! But Hoffman makes sure he is still alive and draws all attention towards Strahm as being the apprentice of John Kramer. But Erickson has a few tricks of himself up his sleeve: the recording of the tape that was found at the Pendulum killing of Seth Baxter, the guy who killed Hoffman’s sister and agent that was meant to be dead… Hoffman is starting to sweat… hard!

In the meantime has Jill Tuck received a box from Kramer’s attorney. In the box were six envelopes (the previous movie’s game) and some other things. One artefact Amanda sure knows well too! Jill is planning her own game now!

And a new game has started as well with an insurance company personnel. William Easton has to save some but let go others, all according to the formula they use at their company. Will he be able to make the choice in order to save his family?

Another round of vicious games, gory scenes and elaborate traps. By now you would think, they can never be original anymore, we’ve seen it all… but think again! And that first trap, The Pound of Flesh in a Scale… cruel! Really, really cruel!

Again we learn more about the people involved with Kramer… but a few questions remain because where does Jill drop that envelope?
