Synopsis:
Detective Mark Hoffman is deemed a hero after he saves a young girl and “escapes” one of Jigsaw’s games, or so it seems. Special Agent Peter Strahm is suspicious of him after an injured Special Agent Lindsay Perez says Hoffman’s name. Meanwhile, five people face a series of tests set up by Jigsaw.
Review:
After we learn about Hoffman’s involvement in the Jigsaw Killers, he tries to save face and tries to kill Agent Strahm while he saves the doctor’s and Jeff’s daughter, who was kidnapped to persuade doctor Lynn to help John Kramer.
He is deemed a hero but Strahm lives so Hoffman is not safe because Strahm is on his tail. Agent Perez in the meantime dies in hospital.
At the same time that Strahm is doing his investigation a new game has begun. Five people connected to each other have to try and survive in a game where the stakes are high. Will they be able to go against their instincts or will they do as they usually do?
Strahm is now getting a lot of attention by Agent Erickson, who has taken over the investigation. But Strahm is not one to give up and finds a connection to Hoffman and a Jigsaw murder, making him very dangerous for Hoffman now!
Another vicious instalment in the Saw series where hunter and hunted are playing a game with very deadly outcome. From this movie on Jill Tuck, Kramer’s ex-wife gets a much bigger part in the story. While we saw the reason John started his work in the previous movie, we now see there was still a connection to them both.
And in the game we see how human nature takes over from intelligence leading to devastating results!
Saw never ceases to amaze! And although it never reaches the level the first Saw movie had, they are all pretty great movies! With each movie we learn more about Kramer’s need to rehabilitate people… whether his methods are good or not… who al I to judge. 😉
