Review:

This movie starts the crueler and gory Saw movies. It’s a direct sequel to the first Saw movie and it returns a few characters from the first one: of course, John Kramer is back and his part is becoming bigger as he is taunting the police. Amanda is back as well, again caught in a trap. Then there’s detective Kerry who is on the hunt for Kramer, together with Eric Matthews (played by Donnie Wahlberg).

The traps are more vicious, crueler, bigger and the people caught in the traps tend to be as vicious and cruel as the traps. Before they step into a room or put their hands into something they should reflect more and watch and look around because the traps are actually always designed so you could actually escape them. It is only the victim’s own fault mostly that they die (sometimes horrible deaths)!

It had been a while since I watched these movies and now that Saw X is on the horizon I wanted to rewatch them all. And by rewatching them you hear and see things that you know are actually hints to what is really going on. If only the people in the movie(s) would listen too…

Saw II is a very worthy sequel to the first one but will not reach the same level of wit that one did, neither do any of the other sequels but they still are very entertaining and fun to watch!
